Dream Catcher Retreats began selling memberships in January of 2005, but the public and aggressive launch in April of 2005 quickly made them a contender in the destination club industry. The Greenwood Village, Colorado based club already offered members access to 12 $3 million properties including Cabo San Lucas, Beaver Creek, and Napa Valley and included a diverse executive team with experience in investing, real estate, and hospitality.
The sizeable launch portfolio was joined with an aggressive marketing platform and the club tripled their marketing and sales team just over a year after launch, expediting the club's growth. Dream Catcher would soon pass the 100 member mark in the summer of 2006.
September of 2006 saw arguably the industry's most synergetic merger when Dream Catcher Retreats and Quintess joined forced to create Quintess, Catch The Dream. Each of the two clubs brought in over 100 members and the combined club included about 230 members, making the new club the third largest in the destination club sector. "Quintess and Dream Catcher share core values centered on a commitment to delight our members and a focus on remarkably luxurious, private freestanding homes," said Quintess CEO and Co-founder Pete Estler. "Both parties saw the opportunity to combine our strengths to create a club with a vastly improved range of member experiences and even greater financial strength. At a time when Dream Catcher and Quintess have both enjoyed tremendous growth and financial stability, this merger unequivocally does both."
Simplifying the merger was the fact that Quintess made their public launch just three days prior to Dream Catcher in April of 2005, and the two clubs were based less than an hour away from one another. Dream Catcher's 20 properties coupled with Quintess's 17 properties and yacht provided the new club an estimated $110 million in real estate holdings.
Just months later in December of 2006, Quintess, Catch The Dream combined with a young club called The Leading Residences of the World and formed a long-term partnership with The Leading Hotels of the World. The new club had over 300 members and 49 properties and formed the club as it is currently constituted, Quintess, Leading Residences of the World.
In June of 2007, utilizing the experience the collected clubs had in investing, the club announced it had formed Quintess, LRW Future Fund 1, a $125 million financing earmarked for new home development. Less than a year later, the club's parent company, Club Holdings, LLC, received a commitment for $210 million in equity from an undisclosed Forbes 400 investor, the largest capital infusion in the history of the destination club industry.
Quintess, The Leading Residences of the World remain one of the largest clubs in the industry and is a multiple time winner of Robb Report's Best of the Best award and augmented the travel options available to members by announcing a partnership with leading European club The Oyster Circle in January of 2009.

In September of 2006, Dream Catcher would merge with Quintess. Dream Catcher's 20 properties joined with the Quintess collection of 17 properties and a yacht to give the club an estimated $110 million in real estate assets.
Prior to the merger, Dream Catcher properties typically averaged 4,700 square feet, not including metropolitan destinations.
The club's properties remain within the Quintess, Leading Residences of the World portfolio and are one of the many reasons that Quintess remains one of the largest clubs in the sector.
MEMBERS
Launched in April of 2005, Dream Catcher Retreats offered members access to 12 luxury properties. This strong foundation helped Dream Catcher grow quickly past the 100 member mark.
In September of 2006, less than 18 months after their official launch, Dream Catcher and Quintess merged their two clubs. The combined clubs counted over 230 members, now under the brand of Quintess, Catch The Dream.
Later in the year, Quintess, Catch The Dream would merge with Leading Residences of the World, a young destination club with a partnership with Leading Hotels of the World. The new Quintess, Leading Residences of the World was created and provided the foundation for the club today, still one of the leaders in terms of members in the destination club sector.
