Inspirato and Destination Cellars Partner
By: Destination Club News Date: July 10, 2011
Back in April, Destination Cellars Founder David Keuhner posted "Fun meeting w/our friends @ Inspirato" on his Facebook account. It seems that those fun meetings were also productive as the only luxury destination wine club has announced an alliance with Inspirato, the destination club industry's fastest growing new club.
As part of the union, Destination Cellars members will enjoy preferred pricing from the standard $15,000 membership fee for joining Inspirato. In turn, Inspirato members will receive preferred pricing on any Destination Cellars custom wine experiential travel options available through the club, such as private wine tastings, cooking lessons, and more.
While we have not spoken with Keuhner or the Inspirato executive team since the announcement, it likely spiraled out of Destination Cellars long time relationship with Exclusive Resorts, the world's largest destination club. Earlier this year, Inspirato launched with Exclusive Resorts Co-Founder Brent Handler at the helm.
Within a few short months of their launch, Inspirato had surpassed 200 members and over $2 million in sales. Since their fast start, Inspirato has continued their unequalled pace and has recently brought on $11 million in capital to further their growth. While still new to the sector, Inspirato already counts 28 beach, 7 European, and 12 mountain destinations in their portfolio, including popular locales such as Italy, Anguilla, Aspen, and Los Cabos.
Always in the news, Destination Cellars has established relationships with multiple players across the destination club industry. Joining Exclusive Resorts and Inspirato are The Quintess Collection and The Markers Club. Other organizations in the Destination Cellars partnership network include MasterCard Worldwide, YPO-WPO, Merrill Lynch, Cellar Advisors, and others.
We will monitor the strategic alliance between these two destination clubs and welcome any comments you may have about the union. Please feel free to visit our Destination Club Forums if you would care to discuss this or any other news items pertaining to the destination club industry.
